I've been developing my brick and corrugate materials a little more. I made this weird shit

I started developing some materials in Substance Designer this week, which -as usual- was quite daunting. I've made some good progress on a simple tile-able brick and a corrugated metal material. These pieces both need much more development to add more interest. I'd like the corrugate to be several sheets bolted together, though I'm sure producing this will be fairly simple with the base finished.

I need to make a modular piping set to populate the lower and middle walls in my environment. Here are some references from other 3D artists so I know what sort of pieces I should be modelling. There's a lot of edge hardening to do but they're coming along pretty well. I created some more complex shapes to add some interest to my piping, which will still work as modular segments.

I had to pitch my idea of creating an environment inspired by the streets of Tekkonkinkreet, which didn't go too well. Whilst I'm normally a pretty confident speaker, I was a little unprepared this time around as I'd spent my time last week researching and modelling blockouts. I received positive feedback on my blockouts from my peers, though my was noted to lack originality. Given that my last project was so "out there" I'm looking forward to creating something a bit less original. More Tekkonkinkreet reference imagery: I'm trying to practice modelling quicker and quicker, I made this bucket in less than an hour. I'm keeping my topology cleaner than I have done previously, as I want my assets to be well optimised for UE4. I modelled and unwrapped a metal bin using these images as reference I made the lid and bin separate meshes so I am able to use them individually as well as together in my environment. The ...
